Nicola Hughes

Over the last 12 years Nicola has worked extensively as a counsellor, supervisor and trainer, in a wide variety of projects including bereavement and perinatal mental health. This has seen her involved with a range of clients - children and families, individuals, clinicians, the NHS, universities, schools, and other professionals.

She has also completed Person Centred Expressive Arts Training; with a background in performing arts and a love of creative expression, it was a natural addition to her experience, and one which flows easily in much of her counselling.

Nicola now runs her own Private Practice as a Creative Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor. She meets her clients outdoors, online, or in her Caravan Clinic. She also runs 2 different supervision groups: “Breath: Outdoor Supervision” in Leeds, and “Online Creative Supervision”.

For her own well-being she loves sewing and crafting. Her greatest achievement was making a cardboard Lego head for her son! When she’s not seeing clients or working on her latest craft project she can be found in the local coffee shops with her dogs Lolly and Mo.
